Question:
Hi, Tried to install my P3 in my 2006 Silverado 1500 classic, using your #3015 harness. Plugged the harness into the port under the dash and plugged the other end into the P3. Nothing! Does the P3 have to be mounted to the dash bottom for a ground before I see any type of display on its screen? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
As long as the P3 is in functioning order, the 3015-P is pinned properly and you installed it into the correct port under your dash the controller should have turned on and you should get a display reading.
I would recommend you double-check to be sure you are using the correct port under your dash first. It should be the top row, second from the left.
To check that the # 3015-P is pinned correctly compare the back of your harness to the picture I attached. If the wires do not match up to the picture you will need to repin the connector so that it matches the picture.
