Question:

Im trying to determine what would be the best rain gutter mount and crossbars for my 2021 Rubicon with sky one touch sunroof, that will provide low wind noise but also allow mounting the Yakima Showdown Kayak carrier. It looks like Thule and Rhino Rack may work, but unsure which crossbars aero, round, square and which length 58 or ?. Thank you!

If you want to operate your Sky One-Touch Power Roof on your 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, Thule and Yakima both have a fit. Rhino-Rack does not have an option with the necessary clearance. The Yakima Raingutter Towers are only compatible with their round crossbars. The 58" crossbar length is a good choice because the Yakima ShowDown does require some crossbar to extend beyond the tower. This Yakima rack would consist of the following:

Round 58" CrossBars for Yakima Roof Rack System (QTY 2), part # Y00409
Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers (QTY 4), part # Y00101, and
Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4), part # Y07204.

This setup will clear your Sky-One Touch Power Roof. This rack will come with round crossbars and I also included the Yakima lock cores so you can secure the rack to the roof of your vehicle. This rack has a weight limit of 165 lbs.

The last part of this roof rack would be the Yakima ShowDown Kayak or SUP Carrier and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs - Side Loading - Clamp On, part # Y04081. This kayak carrier will support from 30%-45% lift assistance when loading your kayak. It comes with two padded cam straps and two bow/stern tie downs.
