This Box was installed on 2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude. The build quality is excellent, and the installation was quick and easy. We are very happy with this purchase.
I like the open from both side feature and the improved positive locking feature this has over an older unit I had.
Lots of room, remember that you have to store it
Love having the extra space
The locking mechanism does not work consistently. Once I get it to shut whenre the lock will engage, then I can't get it to unlock. On my trip to Breckenrige last winter to ski it was very frustrating and a little concerning that I could barely after 10 minutes of working with it to lock into place for my trip home.....last week I tried it again to see if it would work any better for my upcoming ski trip in March, and I can't get it to lock into place at all and haven't been able to.....probably can't use it again. for the ~ $1200 price I thought there would be a better locking mechanism that was dependable

Sorry you're experiencing that, Todd. The good news is that the lock works occasionally. You'll want to lubricate the lock. Soak the key down with a spray lubricant (WD-40 will work). Insert and remove the key several times, wiggling the key when it's inserted. Give the butt-end of the key a couple of gentle taps with a hammer. That should free up the tumblers.
