Question:
Why does this hitch specify not for use with weight distribution hitch? I have such a hitch for use on a 2800 lb travel trailer, and would like to know why this is not recommended.

Typically the hitches that are rated for use with weight distribution systems attach in a few places to the bottom of the vehicle frame. The use a longer mounting flange that helps to handle the additional torque that a WD system puts on the vehicle frame. The Curt hitch part # C13295 instead only attaches to the frame where the bumper attaches and just doesn't have enough contact with the frame to handle the additional stress.
To reduce sag you could use rear suspension enhancement as well like with the SumoSprings part # SSR-313-54 which will give you additional support to tow the trailer more level.
