Is Rear Bumper of 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 Different From 2500HD

Does the 02 2500 HD have a different bumper setup than say and 2002 1500? I pulled the bumper from a 1500 of the same year and tried to install in on my 2500HD and it set very low leaving a greater than normal gap in between my tailgate and the bumper itself. Is that a bracket issue or a bumper issue altogether? Thanks for any help!

The bumper fits between a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 are different. For example for the 1500 we have the part # 31006 and for the 2500HD models we have the # 31010. They key difference seems to be the brackets since the frames of the trucks are different.
