Recommended Option For Towing A 2022 Mazda CX-5 Behind An RV

Question:

Hi, I see the 2021 mazda cx5 has no option for a tow plate. Any idea why that is or if this might be an option soon? Would love to tow with a plate vs. dolly but doesnt appear to be a thing. Thanks so much for any info

Though you can tow a 2021 and 2022 Mazda front wheel drive CX-5 behind an RV with a dolly, like the Demco Kar Kaddy X # DM9713093, it cannot be flat towed with all 4 wheels on the ground, unfortunately. This does come directly from Mazda and will most likely have to do with the transmission, but I can't say that for sure.

With that being said, the Demco Kar Kaddy X # DM9713093 is actually a very nice option. This includes the tire straps, lights connected to a standard 4 Flat, and hydraulic disc brakes attached to a surge coupler, so there will be no other parts needed to get on the road.

I do also need to mention that the All Wheel Drive models will need to be towed with all 4 wheels on a trailer, so you cannot use a dolly for this option.
