Is the Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler Trustworthy

Question:

I have a pin that goes through my current coupler and want to order this coupler, but i am worried that the one set screw i have wont be trustworthy enough to keep this coupler in the tube of my trailer, thus putting my horses at risk? Has anyone run into issues using this couple with only 1 set screw?

The Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler # CG is designed to work with the single set screw. The screw will press on the inner tube. You will not have a problem as long as you are not exceeding the towing capacity of 30,000 lbs and tongue weight capacity of 4,000 lbs and there have been no reported issues.
