Question:

I need a 30K fifth wheel hitch for a 2019 Ram 3500 long bed. You offer two different Curt models. I cant see the difference between them on the listing. What makes on over $300 less than the other? I have the puck below bed rail OEM mount

Though I do need to start by saying the highest rated fifth wheel hitch available for a 2019 Ram 3500 long bed with the factory puck system will be the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP37FR, which is rated to 27,000 pounds, I can still compare the Curt 30k hitches for you.

First, the Curt A30 # C66HR. The A-Series fifth wheel hitches have been around for quite some time and the second is the Curt PowerRide # C22ER. This is Curt's brand new fifth wheel hitch. There are a lot of similarities between these two hitches, but the # C22ER does have a few updates and actually has wear plates built in, so you do not need to keep track of a lube plate, like # C16722. The only other large difference will be the finish. The PowerRide # C22ER will have a dark grey teridium coating, and the A30 # C66HR will retain the standard black powder coating.

Both of these will have lifetime warranties, are rated up to 30,000 pounds, and have one pin head removal, which makes the removal of the hitch a lot easier. Both of these are also designed to be used with above bed rails, like # C16204.
