Why Isn't Hitch for 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Rated for Weight Distribution

Question:

I have a2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz and Im wondering why this hitch says it is not rated for a weight distribution hitch. I know the Santa Cruz only has a 5000lb tow rating, but I have a distribution hitch I would like to use it on my trailer weight of trailer loaded is 4800lbs. I just want it to be level when towing it. Whats your thinking on this? Or do you have another hitch that will fit with a distribution hitch rating?

So weight distribution systems put additional stress on the chassis and hitch of the vehicle. Typically the hitches that are rated for WD are for vehicles that have full frames and/or the hitch installs with longer flange mounting brackets to distribute that stress/leverage out. The Curt hitch that fits your 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz basically does not attach in enough places to the vehicle to be safe to use with a WD system.
