Troubleshooting Curt Spectrum Brake Controller - No Lights On Control Knob

Question:

Good Morning, 2022 Silverado Custom 2.7l crew cab Curt Spectrum Brake controller issue. No lights at control knob. Attached pic is of quick connect wiring. I also have the curt connection to vehicle adapter. All trailer lights work when plug is attached but controller does not light up. Please help Thanks

The Curt Spectrum Brake Controller # C51170 should illuminate, even if the trailer is not connected. If you are getting no lights at all, this likely means the control unit is mis wired, or there is contamination in the trailer plug socket. We recommend double checking your wiring and making sure everything is done correctly. Also clean and dry your trailer plug.

@Robert Hello. The Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 does not include a fuse. Your vehicle may have a fuse for the trailer brake power circuit, but that depends what vehicle you have.

@Robert That should have come with a factory 7-way and if so, no additional fuse will be needed.
