Question:
I have a 2021 Karavan 6x10 utility trailer with a meher 3750 pound axle. It has 5x4.5 wheels and flanges for brakes. How do I tell what brake kit I need?

To determine the correct brake kit you'll need to measure the diameter of the brake pads (from one side of the assembly to the other). If it is 10" and you have hydraulic brakes then I recommend the Titan Free Backing Kit # T4071600-500, but if you have electric then you'll need brakes rated for 3,500 lbs like what we see with the kit # AKEBRK-35-SA. It's not unheard of for the brakes to be rated for a little less weight than the axles themselves so you'll be just fine with the 3,500 lb brakes if you do have the electric.
We do have some help article regarding brakes that I'm linking for you to check out if you'd like more info. I can also help you out with the other parts you'll need if you can let me know what bearings and seal your current hubs use.
