Question:

Hi, I am interested in the “ 24x84 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs”. However I am concern about the weight limit of the bumper that it will attach it to… Our RV is Forrest River 2883WS 2021. Will this work on our RV? I am planning on putting a small tool box on it and have a load of a little less than 400 lbs. Otherwise is there another solution to minimize damage to the bumper.

For your 2021 Forest River 2883WS I would recommend a hitch mounted cargo carrier over a bumper cargo carrier, as Forrest River does not recommend mounting anything the the bumper although people have done it in the past with no issues.

Because of this reason, I recommend using something like the 24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # 63153. This carrier is 24x60" which is slightly smaller than the 24x84 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e96ZR you referenced. However, these two cargo carriers have the same weight capacities and will be able to be used to carry the load you mentioned.
