Troubleshooting Wiring Not Matching up When Using Hopkins 7-Way Blade to 7-Way Round Adapter
Published 10/04/2021 >
Question:
i purchased this adapter from you guys. When I plugged it into my Silverado2013 and into the Cargo trailer. Lights came on but not operating properly. Guess the question is, are different types of harness wiring types ?where maybe i need a different adapter?! The connecters on adapter are correct. They plug in just fine.

Thank you for your purchase of the Hopkins Adapter # 47595! What lights aren't operating properly? Typically for the round plug style connectors we might see the 12V pin and reverse light pins swapped, but aside from that the rest of your lights should be working normally.
I'm attaching some photos of what the pinout should be for standard 7-Way blade and 7-Way round connectors. If you can confirm this by going through the functions on your 2013 Chevy Silverado and testing your pins, as well as testing the wiring on your trailer by applying 12V power to the various functions I can help you determine if yours are wired in the normal orientation or not.
