I am looking for a trailer hitch receiver with a hidden crosstube for my 2021 Honda CR-V and see there are a few different options. What do you recommend?

You are correct that for your 2021 Honda CR-V there are a few different trailer hitch receiver options.

Between them the most popular are the Curt # C13397, Draw-Tite # DT79MR, and the etrailer # e98848.

These three hitches have quite a bit in common seeing as they all have a hidden crosstube meaning that once installed on the receiver itself will be visible as you can see in the included picture of the # e98848, and all three hitches have a 525lb tongue weight rating and 3500lb trailer weight rating.

The main difference is the Curt # C13397 and # e98848 work with the Hybrid and non-Hybrid/non-Touring models where the Draw-Tite # DT79MR only works with the non-Hybrid/non-Touring models.

With all of this in mind I recommend going with the etrailer # e98848 due to it having a matte black powder coat finish which blends in to the plastic trim on your vehicle much better than the gloss black finish on the other hitches mentioned.

If you will be towing a trailer with your CR-V you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # 118741, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
