Does this have any play in in? I hate rattles!

The hitch balls of the Weigh Safe 180 Hitch 2-Ball Mount # LTB10-25 have slight play but would not be the cause of a noticeable rattling noise.
The most common rattle would be not using an anti-rattle device to keep the hitch from moving in your trailer hitch receiver. Using an anti-Rattle device like the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # RM-062 would be a great option to eliminate rattling noise.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
