Can Self-Adjusting Brake Shoes Be Used On Manual-Adjusting Dexter Brake Assembly?

Question:

Will these pads also fit the non-self adjusting K23-463-00 assembly? Everything looks identical except for the wheel that guides the self adjustment mechanism.

I do not recommend using the self adjusting brake pads for your manual adjust brake assembly as they are not designed to be used together. If you want the self adjusting setup then you will want to go with Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Assembly - 10" - Left Hand - 4,400 lbs # K23-478-00 and Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Assembly - 10" - Right Hand - 4,400 lbs # K23-479-00.

If you want to keep you current Dexter Electric Brake Assembly 10" - Right Hand # K23-463-00 and Dexter Electric Brake Assembly 10" - Left Hand # K23-462-00 then you would want to use one set of Replacement 10" x 2-1/4" Electric Brake Shoes - 1 Brake Assembly # BP04-095 per brake assembly.
