When replacing the disk brake rotors on your trailer it is recommended that you also replace your bearings, races and seals at the same time. This will ensure that all components are new and in good order and will prevent the need to dismantle your trailer again to replace an older part that may wear out before others.
The bearing kit for this rotor is part # BK3-100. I have included an article that covers the process of replacing bearings, races and seals on a trailer hub.
The Kodiak 12-Inch Hub-and-Rotor Assembly you reviewed, part # KHR12D, is intended for axles rated at 5200-6000 lbs. It uses a 6-on-5-1/2 bolt pattern with 1/2-inch wheel bolts and fits wheels 15-inches and larger.
To make sure that the hub-and-rotor assembly you're looking at will work with your trailer spindle, you will have to either measure your spindle using a precision digital caliper, or better still, get the part numbers from the existing bearings, races and seals. This is the preferred method. Along with the axle capacity, wheel diameter and wheel bolt pattern, knowing these part numbers will help you select the correct hydraulic disc brake parts for your trailer. I have linked an article on trailer disc brakes that includes a table showing common combinations of trailer brake components.
We also recommend that boat trailers be equipped with bearing protectors, which replace the standard grease caps. These apply moderate 3 psi pressure within the hub to prevent water and dirt from entering and contaminating the bearings which helps to prevent corrosion. They allow your trailer wheels to be completely submerged. I have linked one such item as an example, part # BB2441SS, which is stainless steel.
If you wish to provide your existing bearing, race and seal part numbers, and confirm your axle capacity wheel diameter and wheel bolt pattern, I can research the appropriate replacement parts for you.
