Question:

Hi, I think I’m sold on upgrading my 30A 30’ Furrion 125v twist-lock plug that came with my Leisure Travel Van 5 years ago showing signs of arcing-induced melting of rubber and loosening plugs on RV side to this apparently far more robust if proprietary design. So I need both the RV plug and the cable, guess that is the $183 kit. I could not find the length of the cable - can you please inform? White probably OK but stainless steel might be more consistent - how does price, reliability, availability compare between these? Also, is this in stock - how long to receive? Thanks!

The SmartPlug Upgrade RV Power Inlet and Connector, 30 Amp, # SM77FR is a great option. I prefer the stainless steel, # SM67FR option myself for aesthetics but each is well made and the same unit outside of materials constructed with. You use the same cord that you currently have, cut off the plug and install the new one that comes with the kit. It has full detailed instructions on how to do so.
