Will the Parkit360 Force Trailer Dolly Work to Move a Trailer From the Street to the Driveway?

I have a 5000lb travel trailer. I want to purchase the park it 360 10,000 lb unit. To go from street to driveway I have a “normal “ curb. Will I be able to get over that?

Hey John. If you're talking about a normal transition from the street to a driveway you'll have no issue going up that kind of an incline with the Parkit360 Force Electric Trailer Dolly item # PA46VR. It's designed to go up 6% grades and it's got some big heavy duty tires.
Now if you're talking a curb with an immediate inch or so height difference then no it's not going to work.
How big of a transition do you have between your street and driveway?

If the trailer is going up a normal driveway entrance it should work fine with that transition. It will not go over a curb or may have problems with an abnormally high driveway transition.

Hey John, I'm not sure if my driveway is steeper than 6°, but it's close and I can still push my 7500 lb travel trailer up onto leveling blocks, which are about as high as the transition from street to driveway. That being said there's no way on God's green earth it's going to push or pull 5000 lb up and over a normal 6" street curb though.

I agree with everyone here. If you are trying to get the trailer up a 6" curb then that will not work. Nor would you want to, that is going to be pretty bad for the tires. I use these ramps for getting my trailer into the backyard, but not with the dolly though. But they may work for this purpose as well. This would be a similar kind of a ramp as when you push the trailer on leveling blocks. Or,if you are mildly handy, you should be able to create a shallow ramp with some 2x4s and thick plywood The other thing to keep in mind is to have enough tongue weight, otherwise your dolly wheel will just be spinning. Another tip: make sure that the dolly is tightly connected to the hitch of the trailer. Clamp it as hard as you can. The ball should not move in the trailer hitch socket. For my 8500lbs dual axle trailer it kept trying move from underneath the hitch. So I added the 'drop in hitch adapter' from Parkit. That fixed that. I hope this helps JJK

Hi john...I think you should call parkit360 to ask your question. They are Very nice and helpful. I have a 6k boat with a 2k trailer and the dolly works hard to move it. I doubt it could pull my load over a curb. Maybe you could create a ramp of some sorts. At least cutting a 4x6 diagonally. Etrailer I think sells rubber ramps. Without a transition I think it will not work. Good luck....pg
