What Wattage Demands Does Advent Air 15k BTU AC Unit Require

Question:

Haw many watts is the 15,000 BTU? AND IT says not good if using to install where a unit was not . Thats what I did on my food trailer. It it something I need? I have the heat and easy start thing in it for generator power. My generator is only 30 amps. This unit takes about 30 amps to run!

We've checked with Advent in the past and to run the Advent Air AC unit part # ACM150 you'd need a generator with at least 3,000 watts. If you installed this on your trailer where there wasn't a unit there prior and it's working fine I would not worry about what you mentioned as far as it not being good for an install where a unit wasn't.

The amperage draw for this is 20 amps at startup.
