Skid-Plate Interference With Blue Ox Base Plate Kit On 2017 Jeep Wrangler Winter Edition

Question:
Went to install my Blueox baseplate today on my 2017 Winter Edition. The base plate seems to hit the front skid plate and doesnt allow the top holes to line up. Is it best to round the corners on the baseplate or cut skid plate?

Expert Reply:
I suggest loosening the plate hardware and using a rubber mallet in attempt to adjust seating to allow fitment of brackets. If this skid plate is not a factory component that may be issue with installation of the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit, # BX1133. I would modify skid-plate prior to that of the base plates.
