Should Electric Trailer Brakes Have Continuity Between The Two Wires?

Question:
When I test the two wires going to the brakes with an ohm meter it shows continuity like a short. Is. This right or should it show an open circuit?

You will have continuity between both wire of the brake assembly.
You can test the resistance with the Ohmmeter function on your Multimeter # PT89ZR. I have linked an article on testing brake magnets below for you to determine exactly what your ohm range should be based on your trailer brakes.
