Will the Curt Hitch For a 1993 Dodge Ram Fit Models With Roll Pan Bumper
Updated 07/16/2021 | Published 07/15/2021 >
Question:
I have a 1993 Dodge D250 converted to dually. I believe it has what you call a roll pan bumper. Not really a bumper but more of a fascia. The license plate mounts on this. What do I have to modify to make this hitch work? I plan on installing a step bumper in the future. Will that work with this hitch?

Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 14001 which is a fit for a 1993 Dodge Ram is designed for models with the factory step bumper. That said, it should work just fine with most roll pan bumpers it would just sit down a little further than normal and may look funky but there would be no functional issues.
