Question:

Hello, Im looking to replace the brakes on my 2021 load rite trailer due to corrosion already. It currently has 14 inch wheels with knott zinc plated disc brake integral rotor / hub assembly 9.75inch diameter, 5 x 4.5inch bolt pattern and knott disc break calipers and a surge type actuator. The brakes are currently mounted on a 3750lb knott torsion axle. My question is will the kodiak K2R35S kit work with my setup if I replace the current hub/rotor assembly with something like the TIEDOWN 1-3/8inch x 1-1/16, 5 on 4.5inch Stud GalvXL VORTEX Kit #81013 hub and this brake assembly kit? I apologize, Ive been researching this for awhile and think that setup will work but wanted to verify before purchasing.

As long as you install an idler hub on your 2021 Load Rite Trailer then the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Stainless Steel - 3,500 lbs # K2R35S will fit just fine.

Now to determine which idler hub will fit your 3700lb knott torsion axle you will need to find your bearing combination. The easiest way to do this is to remove one of your hubs/rotors and look for the bearing numbers stamped in the face of each bearing as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.

There is no specific bearing combination for a 3700lb axle, but if it uses inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649 then standard 3500lb idler hubs like the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K would work.
