Their seems to be two different style shanks. Attached is the style that I didnt want, this isnt what was advertised from Home Depot. Is the one Etrailer have the different shank?

The Curt # C45900 adjustable ball mount features a shank that's constructed of 2 inch square steel bar stock, that's fully gusseted and welded to the channel mount, just like what you show in the photo you provided.
If you'd prefer something that is constructed of cast steel, I'd recommend the Fastway # FA49-00-5600 which also provides a 2 and a 2-5/16 inch ball.
