Question:
I have 1993 Champion Boat trailer I need new hubs for. Spindle dimensions are Seal Seat - 1.620, Inner Bearing seat 1.375, Outer bearing seat 1.060. 15 inch wheels 5 on 4 1/2. Current hub has L68149 inner, L44649 outer bearings and 168233 grease seal. AKIHUB-545-35-G-K looks like the correct hub except the grease seal that comes with is Inner diameter: 1.719, which seems a little big for a spindle with 1.620 Inner Bearing seat. My spindles are a little rough so I would like bearing to replace the standard seals with buddy seals with stainless steel rings and also need new pair of Bearing buddy caps for new hub. Can you assist please?

Expert Reply:
The L68149 and L44649 bearing combo is very common and mostly used on 3,500 lb axles. These will then use a standard 1.719" I.D. x 2.565" O.D. grease seal. There are no bearings or seals with the exact dimensions you listed so the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # AKIHUB-545-35-G-K is likely what you need as all the dimensions are very close. The correct Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors would then be part # BB1980A-SS.
