Was there any manufacturer info on the existing coupler? Any part numbers? Unfortunately, there isn't an existing database that allows me to look up which hydraulic coupler was originally used on your 2005 Ranger Trail boat trailer.
This being said, the Dexter Axle DX7.5 Drop-N-Go actuator would work well if you have a 3 inch wide pole tongue and need a coupler compatible with a 2 inch ball.
For disc brakes, use the # 099-175-20, or # 099-175-00 for drum brakes.
