Recommendation to Carry a Generator on a 2020 Lance 1475 Camp Trailer

Question:

I have a 2020 Lance 1475 camp trailer. I need a solution to carry a generator that will have a surge of at least 3800w. Help!

We definitely have a couple options available to carry your generator, though it will depend on the weight of said generator.

First, the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier # CC-255 will install on the A-Frame at the front of the trailer. This has a 300 pound capacity and being 29 inches tall, it will typically clear any accessory or propane tank. The only downside is it can get fairly tall making it difficult to get the generator up onto the carrier.

I tend to like the bumper mount styles as they are easier to access. The Mount-n-Lock GennyGo Generator and Cargo Carrier # MNT67FR will have a slightly lower capacity of 250 pounds, but will only be as high as the bumper on the back of the camper, making it much easier to load. This does require a 4x4 bumper, which looks like some of the Lance 1475 campers have, but not all of them.

Both of these will be good options, but if you do not have the 4x4 bumper, the # CC-255 will definitely be our best option for you.
