The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98912 you were looking at for your 2021 Subaru Crosstrek includes all of the required mounting hardware to get the hitch installed.

This hitch has a 525lb tongue weight rating making it perfect for carrying a bike rack with your Crosstrek.

Since the # e98912 will have the receiver nearly flush with the rear bumper of your vehicle, you will have no issues with racks interfering with the rear bumper.

If you have not already decided on a rack, it really comes down to if you are wanting a cost effective rack, or a premium rack.

For a cost effective option it is hard to beat the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # TH934XTR which will accommodate 4 bikes weighing up to 35lbs each. Hanging racks are good for lighter bikes that you are not worried about paint or a carbon frame getting scratched or marred.
