Location of Factory Trailer Brake Controller Plug on a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:
My Grand Cherokee has the trailer tow package installed. There is a wiring harness in the glove compartment that says the gray connector is located under the instrument panel to the left of the steering wheel. For the life of me I cannot find this gray connector. Since eTrailer has done several videos showing installation of trailer wiring harnesses etc I wondered if you could tell me where to locate this connector?

Helpful Expert Reply:
If you look at the instructions for harness # TK93VR you will see that the connector is actually located further to the left than you might think. It is actually just about directly above the emergency brake pedal. There should be another larger connector right next to it. If it is not there then it is possible that it is behind the kick panel forward of the door.
