Question:

I know some people have had issues with bumper/tailgate clearance and tongue depth when using hitches for bike racks. Is there any difference between Draw-tite and Curt in this area? As in, does one create more bumper clearance based on the position of the skewer hole and/or where the hitch sits? And do the hitches differ in the length of tongue they can accommodate? Thanks!

The Curt hitch part # C13284 has the best clearance for a bike rack to fit past the rear bumper. It has 5 inches from it's pin hole out to the furthest edge of the rear bumper whereas the Draw Tite # 76020 has 7 inches.
