I have a Thule Apex Swing XT bike rack and was wondering if I can attach it to a trailer bumper hitch.

I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, the Thule Apex Swing XT # TH9027XT is not compatible on a travel trailer or a 5th-wheel trailer. The reason why the Apex Swing XT will not work is because it cannot sustain the additional torque experienced at the rear of the hitch. We do not carry a four-bike rack that is compatible with a travel trailer or 5th-wheel trailer that has the swinging capability.

However, If you want a bike rack that is compatible with a travel trailer or a 5th-wheel trailer, I recommend the Yakima LongHaul RV Bike Rack - 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches # Y02476. The Yakima LongHaul RV Bike Rack still has the same 4-bike capacity as the Thule Apex Swing XT. The LongHaul is also great for transporting road bikes, women's bikes, and children's bikes.

Unfortunately, there is no bike rack or hitch adapter that has a swing-away function that can work with a trailer due to the increased torque.
