Which Hitch Lock Can Be Used on Kuat Sherpa for 2" Receivers

Im wondering if this Kuat Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer racks will work for a Kuat Sherpa rack. The bolt simply goes through the opening on the hitch receiver and rack sleeve so it seems like it should work for any rack with the same size opening. What makes this hitch lock specific to a Transfer rack? I need an adapter for my 2inch Kuat Sherpa rack to fit into a 1.25inch receiver and I wanted to use this anti-rattle hitch lock for the adapter and receiver. Any thoughts if this would work?

I may have a solution for you, but the Kuat Transfer had a threaded hitch pin hole that makes it compatible with the # HLT; this was not present in the shank on your Kuat Sherpa # SH22G. You could use a hitch lock like the ## HL2, but it would not provide any real anti-rattle prevention, but would provide a way to secure your rack to the vehicle.
It should be noted that when you use a hitch adapter like the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver
Item # HTAD this does reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50%, so you'll want to make sure that your bike and the Sherpa aren't combined over 50% of your car's tongue weight.
