Where Does 2" x 4" Crossmember Mount To Timbren Silent Ride Suspension TSR10KT02?
Updated 05/13/2021 | Published 05/12/2021 >
Question:
I have bought a used equipment trailer with 3inch tandem axles like the kind one usually sees under mobile homes when they are delivered. The leaf springs and bushings look worn out, and there is only about an inch of travel with the trailer unloaded before the axles bottom out steel-to-steel on the frame. I would like to rehabilitate and rebuild this trailer by purchasing and installing the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers w/ 3inch Round Axles - 10,000 lbs, Item # TSR10KT02. What I am unclear on, after watching your videos and information, is where the 2x4inch hollow tube member is to be installed on this tandem axle unit. Do you have technical drawings or pictures/examples of this tandem axle unit installed? I watched the video on the single axle unit, but it does not provide applicable info for the location of the tubular cross member required for the tandem axle unit. l would like to order, but need installation instructions first. Thanks

The 2" x 4" steel crossmember will mount to the brackets located at the center of the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers w/ 3" Round Axles - 10,000 lbs # TSR10KT02 as shown in the included diagram and is what connects the two together.
You will need to measure the distance between the two Silent Rides and have the crossmember cut to the correct length. It will be secured with two nuts and bolts on each side.
I included a video of the # TSR10KT02 for you to take a look at.
