The screw down knolb that holds the mirror on,doesn't prevent the mirror from sliding off.Is there some way to hold it on so it want come off so easy.What can l do?

The CM11401 only fits the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic so that's why you're having this issue. The CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors - Slip On - Driver Side and Passenger Side Item # CIP98MR is a confirmed fit for all models.
