I just bought the older Thule Hitching post bike rack. are there anti sway cages that fit the older 5829 cradles.

Yes, there is a no-sway cage that works with bike racks that use the Replacement T2 Cradle Body for Thule Bike Carriers # 853-5829.
The racks that use that cradle also use the Replacement No Sway Cage for Thule Ridgeline and Revolver # 753-3530.
Additionally, the rubber straps you will want to use with the Replacement T2 Cradle # 853-5829 are the Replacement Rubber Strap for Thule T2 Bike Carrier Cradles # 753-3535.
