To install the Replacement T3 Cradle Body for Thule Bike Carriers # 853-5829, you will need to first remove the end cap from the end of the bike support arm. A Phillips screw is what typically holds the cap in place.
You will then use just a small amount of soap and water to help slide the existing cradles off the carrier. Once the cradles are removed, you will then orient the strap and cradle together and slide them back on in the correct position.

There is no screw holding on the end cap on the 9042 helium aero. It looks like a rivet. Is there a different way to replace the cradle on this unit?
