Is There A Way To Attach The Yakima Mako Saddles Kayak Carrier Onto Aero Crossbars?

Question:

I have an older Yakima kayak carrier that I love, with rollers on the rear bar for ease in loading kayaks on the roof. I changed vehicles over the years and retrofitted the Yakima. I now have the same Yakima rollers and pads for two kayaks but a Thule 1inch bar but cannot use the mounting towers on 2017 Subaru Outback. I want to mount the hybrid kayak carrier on my Subaru crossbars but am not able to find a bracket to fit the 1inch Thule bar and the Subaru factory mounted roof rack crossbars. I hope you can help me.

Thanks for the photos! It looks like you have the older Yakima Mako Saddles kayak carrier. I confirmed with Yakima that you will be able to use Universal MightyMounts # Y03590 which is an adapter that will let you attach the older kayak carrier onto your 2017 Subaru Outback's factory aero crossbars. I attached a demonstration video for you.
