Does the Thule Hullavator Have to Be Installed Using the T-Slots in Thule Wingbar Evo Crossbars

Question:

Hi, I do have the newer version of Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs # TH898 will fit the Wingbar Evo crossbars with both the wrap-around clamps and t-slot mounting style. But, in my opinion, the t-slots and the square nuts seem too weak to hold 75 pounds of weight. The wrap-around clamps do not fit any Wingbar Evo crossbars I also have the newer version. Am I right? I am asking this because, in another post on this website, someone mentioned that wrap-around clamps will fit Wingbar Evo crossbars. How? Do you have a picture or youtube tutorial? Thank you. The Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs # TH898 is compatible with Thule Wingbar Evo crossbars. I reached out to the manufacturer about the fitment and they said that to use the Hullavator with the Wingbar Evo's, you have to use the t-slot mounting kit. The clamp mounting style will not work with the Wingbar Evo's.

I can also reassure you that the t-slots and square nuts are more than capable of handling 75 lbs. of weight. They would have been put through extensive testing before being rolled out to consumers.
