Front of Housing to Edge of Fill Cap Dimension of Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuating Coupler

Question:
Im looking for a replacement actuator for Tie Down Model 66 but want to find one that has a good location to install a sticker for the Ford Pro Backup Assist feature. Can you tell me the distance from the center of the ball to the fill cap? Is this distance at least 13?

Expert Reply:
The front of the housing to the edge of the fill cap closest to the front of the coupler is 7-7/8 inches, as shown in the provided photo. You'd be better off mounting the sticker on the top or side of the trailer tongue behind the actuating coupler. You wouldn't want to apply the sticker over the junction between the housing and the portion of the actuator that modes, as it would destroy your sticker.
