Can I Cut The Malone AirFlow2 # MPG216 To Make Them Shorter?

I have 2019 VW sportwagen. It has the factory rails. They seem to be about 37 inches apart. The Malones say they are 58 inches. Thats a lot of metal at eye level sticking out past the car. Can these be cu shorter?

It is up to you if you wanted to cut these Malone bars # MPG216. What I would suggest is getting the 50 inch version # MPG215 so you don't have to cut anything.

Hi Ethan; I'm sorry to say the Locking Endcaps for Vortex Aero Crossbars #RRVA-LEC4 do not fit the Sportz bars. Rhino-Rack does not have an option for locks that fit these crossbars at this time.

Hey Rick, I wish I could say yes a Thule locking hitch pin would work with your Rhino Rack T-Load part #RTL002 but they are different sizes. The good news is the T-Load comes with a lock for the hitch pin so you won't need anything else.
