The water heater that I recommend as a replacement for your Atwood G6A-7 that will give you the best bang for your buck is absolutely the tankless option water heater from Fogatti, and you can choose from either White or Black in color:

- White: Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR

- Black: Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB44FR

The Fogatti water heaters fit a 13" tall x 13" wide x 17-3/4" deep cut out, so you shouldn't have any problem fitting them in the same space as the 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep Atwood. These are gas heaters just like the G6A-7, and the reason I really like the tankless option is because water only gets heated up when you turn it on, and instead of getting just 12 gallons of hot water per hour with the Atwood, you get 90 gallons of hot water per hour with the Fogatti.

The tankless water heaters are what the majority of people are using now due to their convenience and the large amount of hot water you get, which is why I recommend it so highly. The only other thing you will need with this heater is the Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve # CAM10423.
