I am trying to replace an Atwood G6A-7 water heater. Your recommendation is a DOMETIC DMC74FR. Question: Is not the G6A 7 12 Volt and the DMC74FR 120 volt?

The Atwood G6A-7 Water Heater is a gas only model. The best option we have for replacement is the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater part # FR48SR which is also gas only. It should fit right into your existing cutout with little to no modifications needed. This is a tankless unit which the industry is transitioning to.
The Dometic RV Water Heater part # DMC74FR is a gas and electric model which runs on 120 volts so you'd want to be hooked up to shore power while using it in electric mode.
