Question:
I purchased the Thule G2 37002 XT truck rack for my 2008 Toyota Tundra. The truck bed has the factory installed bed rail tie down rails in it. What is the correct clamp kit for my truck?

Expert Reply:
The TracRac Pro 2 # TH37002XT for your 2008 Toyota Tundra is actually not compatible with the factory rails in your bed. The instruction from Thule for this rack is actually to remove the factory rails before installing the ladder rack. Thule also says that you will need to cut your drop-in bed liner to gain access to the underside of the bed rail in order to install this rack system. The clamps for rails # TH34000 that you were referring to is for the ladder rack designed for the rails on the Toyota Tacoma.
The clamps that came with your system should fit with the factory rail uninstalled. If you need new hardware, the correct clamp is the Replacement Clamp for Toolbox Mount Kit for Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Racks # THFX-27068.
