I have a 2018 Traverse and a kuat Sherpa 2.0. Could you recommend a hitch to lower the rack to ease bike loading? Also, is it tight in the car hitch?

We have exactly what you need in order to lower the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 bike rack so you can more easily lower your bikes. There is an adapter made by Kuat which will lower the rack by 2-1/8 inches that is going to be the best option for you:
- Kuat Hi-Lo Hitch Extender # HL20B
You will just install the extender in the hitch of your Traverse and attach your Sherpa 2.0 bike rack directly to the extender, and it will lower your rack by 2-1/8 inches, making it simpler to load them up.
