Hello, Im looking for advise on how to install a trailer to my VW Tiguan Highline 2021 2.0T . I bought an OEM accessory but I cant find how to connect it. Im sure Im missing some parts or instructions still. Id love some help from the experts and be happy to pay for it. I wasn't able to locate any instructions for the VW 5NN055203A wiring harness you purchased. I'd recommend taking the simpler and considerably more inexpensive route by using an aftermarket wiring harness like
# C56403 which plugs inline at the connection between the vehicle's taillight wiring harness and the taillight assemblies. The harness gets is switching information from these connections but draws its power for the trailer lights directly from the vehicle battery via the fused connection made with the wire and fuse included in the kit. This arrangement keeps the vehicle's sophisticated and expensive to repair wiring system isolated from any shorts that might occur in the trailer wiring.
