Question:
I have Dexter 261212 axles that say they are rated at 4400 lbs on my camper. Seems odd because the GVWR is 9840 lbs according to the sticker and website. My question is what brakes should go on it and also what hub seals I need. Can you point me to some options?

I'm assuming the hubs are used on a 5th wheel, is that correct? For a tandem axle setup, the combined axle capacity would be 8800 lbs. The remainder is carried by the rear axle of the tow vehicle, since the pin weight of a 5th wheel is typically 20% of the GVWR, the axles are properly rated for your RV.
For replacement brake assemblies, I'd recommend the # K23-478-479 from Dexter, which includes right and left auto adjusting brake assemblies. After the initial setup, the brakes will constantly self-adjust to provide optimal braking. Installation hardware is included, as are the mud and crud plugs that keep debris from getting into the adjuster holes.
I'd also recommend inspecting the armature surface of the brake drums where the brake magnet rides. If this surface is pitted, grooved or discolored from overheating, you'll also want to replace the hubs using
# 8-407-5UC3-EZ. This hub has a 6 lug on a 5-1/2 inch bolt circle bolt pattern, and uses an LM67048 inner and an L44649 outer bearing. You'll want to check you existing bearings to be sure the hub is compatible. The hub includes the inner and outer bearings and races, the grease seal, the grease cap and the lug nuts.
The replacement double lip grease seals for a Dexter 4400 lb axles are a 10-19, which we sell as part
# RG06-050.
I've linked to product videos for the hub and brake assemblies I mentioned above.
