Adapter for Mr. Heater Flex Cooker to Attach to 1 lb Throwaway Cylinder

Updated 11/05/2025 | Published 02/28/2021

Question:

Hi, I just bought a Mr. Heater flex cooker. It has a short hose with a quick connect female input into it. I would like to hook it up to a 1 lb. propane bottle for use sometimes. They make the hoses to go to a 20 lb. tank. What all parts do I need to make that work, and do you have them?

We have the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose part # 100476-72-MBS which goes from the standard throwaway type fitting to a male quick disconnect and is 6 feet long. Is this the type of adapter you are looking for.

@DaveJ Which side of the adapter doesn't seem accurate? Or is it both?

@DaveJ Hey brother, have you found a solution for hooking up Mr buddy cooker to 1lb propane tank (seperate from the whole buddy flex deal)? I have found a way but now the pressure is way to high for cooker I almost cooked my eyebrows off! I need a little help from our community.. Thanks braddah!

So the part listed the Mr Sturgis quick discount #100476-72 MBS will take the Mr heater buddy flex cooker and connect to a green 1lbs tank?

@Josh Yes, the # 100476-72-MBS is designed to attach to a throwaway propane tank on one end and has a male quick connect on the other like what your cooker should have.

@JamesonC. I think what @josh needs is something like the Mr. Sturgis quick discount #100476-72 MBS, but with a female quick connect (instead of a male quick connect) on one end, so that it can then attach to the male quick connect fitting on the Mr heater buddy flex cooker, and then go to a throwaway propane tank on the other end

@RobM I wish we had that configuration of adapter but at this time we do not.
