Question:

Just removed the Ride Rite air bags from the 2003 Ford F250 4x4 I sold and want to use the bags on my new 2012 Ram 2500 2wd. Would like the nessasary brackets to install them on the Ram. Thank you,

There is a bracket kit and hardware kit available for the Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for your 2012 Ram 2500, however it is only compatible with the Ride-Rite Air Bags, # 6401. The bracket kit that you will need is part # F2479 and the hardware kit is part # F2327.

At this time, the # 6401 air bags are the only air bags that will work with your 2012 Ram 2500. There are three different air bags that are compatible with your 2003 Ford F-350, # 6401, # 6781, and # 6762. If your current air bags are # 6781 or # 6762, then they will not work with the bracket kit and hardware kit I mentioned.

You will want to look on the air bag, just below the Firestone logo. There will be a number stamped into the bag (see photo). If the number on your air bag is 224C, then your bags will work with the bracket kit and hardware kit that I listed. If the number is 267C or 268C, then they will not work and you will want to purchase the Firestone Ride-Rite Kit, # F2299, for your new truck.
