Question:

I have a 2020 Silverado 1500 with a 5.9 bed without towing package. I need to get a 5th wheel hitch. Please advise on a hitch kit and hitch that will fit my truck thanks.

In order to tow a fifth wheel trailer with a truck that has a 5-3/4' bed like the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, you'll have to use either a fixed hitch with rotating pin box or you can go with the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # DM8550040. The Demco Hijacker provides 22-1/2" of travel which no other hitch does and it has an auto slide feature which means no getting in and out of the cab each time you need to make a sharp turn. I recommend the Demco Hijacker because you don't need to make any modifications to the trailer which will also mean it's the more cost effective option. It will require the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit part # DM8552034-71 as well.
